As I was laying this out, I had the realization that Venom was the very first Marvel character I had ever drawn back in the day when I was but a wee bean sprout. I still even have the very comic I drew it out of (Amazing Spider-Man Annual #25), which was the first comic Dad had ever bought me.

Once upon a time ... in a galaxy far far away ...
Woo hoo, first posting of 2013!!! I have a good feeling that this year I'll have a more creatively productive year. For a while I've been wanting to put my own spin on the Disney princesses and I've finally found a different direction for them that I haven't seen explored too much (surprisingly).I had to look up a good bit of Star Wars reference because I'm not entirely familiar with all their characters, so I borrowed visual motifs from different Jedis such as Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto. There are more designs for other ones so stay tuned!

Just some warm ups ...
I'm trying to do at least a post a month, so since I missed out in April I'll be doing at least two this month. I decided to do some warm up sketches. These are just simple for now but I'll be doing bigger illustrations soon. Post numero dos will be up soon!

Animal lovers
Here's a couple sketches I kicked out, one old and one new. The lion family is a revamp of an older post, I tried pushing the design a little bit more. While working on the lion family I had an idea for a Southern alligator couple, I think I'm happy with it ... for now :-)

Summer drawings
It's been almost too long since my last post and even then I'm not too hot about the last one. It's been a long summer, but despite that I've still been drawing in my leisurely time. The old man is based off a neat photograph I saw, the girl is based off of what I call "the Starbucks Girl" whom you see everywhere at any Starbucks and the dogs were a shot out of my comfort zone cause I haven't spent a lot of time drawing them.

I'm not dead
I know it's been a little while since I've posted anything and I've been getting alot of gripes and complaints through emails and comments about why I haven't posted any new stuff. Well for the record I'm not dead and there's gonna be new stuff up soon. So here is some filler till then.
These are scans from my Moleskine sketchbook. I only use this sketchbook when I travel.
This is from Stockholm, Sweden. The Venus de Milo was just a replica in a Flemmish Museum:
This was outside my Hotel in Paris,France:
And this was from inside the Lourve in Paris:
These are from when I went to Waikiki Beach at Honolulu,Hawaii:
This was when I was in Tennesse (which is a lame state from what I saw) and was inspired to sketch out Jesus Christ, a man to whom I owe my life to . . .
